State of the Union #3

Fellow OSW'ers:
This weeks State of the Union address is brought to you by "AD SPACE" – shill your product on any or all OSW presentations in one line or 468x60 ad banner format. Click HERE for further information!
This week I was presented with a serious decision. I had to have the team of Disorderly Conduct sitting at home on the unfeasibly fat contracts that OSWs commissioner, Howard Porter, signed them to, or find something to do with them to bring a return for all that cash. Never one to miss and opportunity to do the right thing for OSW, for better or worse, I have assigned Tuff Tom and Mean Mike to my own retinue – for now. They will be fulfilling both personal security and gopher functions. Please make them feel welcome backstage, and if they come to you with a request, direction or otherwise, you are hereby directed to comply with them as if it were me in person with the message.
I have some issues which came up during the week which I would like to discuss here:
Howard Porter – You, sir, have officially pissed me off. Primarily for the act of embarrassing me in front of our major sponsors – OSWs very lifeblood – by going against my expressed wishes and interjecting yourself and your cronies into the proceedings immediately following Locke/Toomes world title match on Slam after Id told them that they were going to be treated to a good clean fight. Dont even think about playing the "but I didnt interfere in the match, just like you told me to" card with me Porter. Youll soon learn that Im not one to mess around, and reciprocatively, am not to be messed with. For the grief you put me, Jane Reagan and OSW through by giving the worst possible impression to our benefactors, showing them that we are nothing more than an anarchic geocities tribe, I have a small task for you. Something that is akin to what I was forced to do on the weekend, repeatedly. I expect a written apology, to be published by you to the entire OSW organisation and ccd to the men who were my guests in the Presidents Box at Slam – you will be getting to know them well once they regain some faith in our company. This task should be no problem for you Porter, you are, after all, somewhat of a wordsmith, according to your reputation anyway. Make it pretty, and make it soon – your continuing reign as commissioner depends upon me receiving this, poste haste.
Graphic Violence –You too are now on my radar scope, for the very same reason as Porter, in fact moreso because your contribution actually brought the inconclusive ending to what was promising to be a fine match, put on not to advance your own selfish desires but to be a showcase for the finest talent in OSW to the fans and the people who pay our bills. Im not interested in the contribution of Silent Rush, you were the ringleader of your expedition, and Im also not interested in reasons or excuses. Get this into your thick skull - when the card says Graphic Violence vs Rhett Locke, then you are more than welcome to come to ringside and fight, but when the card says Rhett Locke vs Sebastian Toomes, you belong in the back watching a monitor and sipping water with everyone else who isnt Toomes and Locke. Im not going to give you another chance – cross me again and there will be dire consequences for your career. Ill be watching your Tag Team tournament match with a keen interest – you have a chance to begin the long process of redemption in my eyes by putting on a win, lose or draw barnburner against the Extreme Legends. Dont let me down, you wont like the consequences, not one little bit - the piper will one day come to collect from thee.
Ivan Stanislav – Trust is a word bandied about a lot lately, especially when it comes to you. Know this - it is not a requirement for you to trust me. I dont need to ask for peoples trust, I expect that over time my actions will speak louder than words and people will know that I am all about doing the right thing for OSW. That is, OSW as a whole, not "Howard Porter" or "The Think Tank" or "Graphic Violence" or even "Ivan Stanislav", but the entire collective family we have going on here. When that day comes that trust is automatically given, I probably wont even notice it, because I will be busy planning for the future and making things happen for the good of everybody. Also know that I dont even expect so much as a "thankyou" from you for booking you your desired match with Corg – its all part of the job, and designed to go towards giving the fans what they pay for each and every week. I am more than happy to discuss this or anything else with you should you require further clarification – my door is always open to you, and any other member of the OSW family, including Porter.
Illegal substances amnesty –The illegal substances amnesty ends this Saturday on Slam. Any and all are welcome to deposit whatever they wish into the bin provided backstage. After Slam is over, anyone found with illegal substances, or anything else that could potentially impair their performance in an OSW ring in any capacity, will be dealt with as harshly as the law allows.
Be sure to catch Slam this week, it promises to be a doozy!
Yours sincerely
The President
